10 20 Project

The 10/20 Project Print Studio 2

Tools: Modeling Clay, Illustrator, Photoshop

The 10/20 Project was a project routed in habitual daily process, ultimately resulting in using the daily creative play for a real-world application.

PROCESS: DAILY CREATIVE PLAY

For 20 minutes per day for 10 days, I built small clay sculptures using 4 colors. I felt encouraged to try experimenting with a new material, and to really PLAY with this creative habit.

Process: Initial Application Iteration

Using the shapes that I created, I decided I wanted my final application to be a D.I.Y. Jewelry Kit. The kit will include lots of acrylic cut shapes based on my clay shapes, as well as clasps and locks so that users can create all types of earrings, bracelets, and necklaces.
I wanted to create an identity that used these child-like colors and shapes without being childish. I was imagining that this kit would be sold by local boutiques and stylists.

FINAL DELIVERABLES

I ended up developing a logomark and incorporating more of my shapes into the final application.

FINAL BOX

The final box I created utilizes a white belly band with information and cutouts, so that when it’s removed, new information is revealed.
